Configuring Automated Messages Overview
you can configure and customise how automated messages are displayed and delivered to users in your company. Automated messages convey important ezLaborManager information to users. The types of messages a user receives depends on which features your company has enabled and what type of user (administrator, supervisor, or employee) a person is.
Automated messages are always displayed in the Administrator Notifications section and the Inbox section on the Home tab. The Administrator Notifications section displays messages related to pay cycles and licensing only. The Inbox displays all other types of messages (see below for a complete list). You can also allow users to receive automated messages by e-mail, which are sent to a user's e-mail address. However, neither you nor a user can turn off the delivery of messages to the Inbox section on the Home tab.
Automated messages are grouped into "alert types." Each alert type is a main message category that has one or more notification types associated with it. A notification type is a specific message that can be sent to users. Each alert type corresponds to a folder that appears in a user’s ezLaborManager Inbox and each folder contains specific messages (called notification types). However, a folder for an alert type is only displayed if a user currently has a message of that type.
For most alert types, you can configure how they are delivered to users (either by Inbox only or by Inbox and e-mail). For most notifications types, you can configure the wording of a both the Inbox message and the e-mail message. For e-mail messages only, you can also configure the languages that are included in a message. However, you cannot select the language in which an Inbox message is sent. Inbox messages are only sent in a user's default language.
The following list shows all available alert types and the type of information contained in the messages. (Depending on how your company is configured, you may not see all of these alert types.)
