Your company may charge employee labour to a variety of labour categories for accounting, costing, and management purposes. In ezLaborManager, you can charge time pairs and payroll adjustments to such labour categories by entering codes into corresponding labour charge fields ( LCFs) that appear on many ezLaborManager pages, including the Timecard Manager, employee Time Sheet, and employee scheduling pages.

Your ADP ezLaborManager representative has set up a labour charge field in ezLaborManager for each labour category your company uses. The number and names of these labour charge fields vary depending on the categories used by your company, but some common labour charge fields are Department and Job. Your company may create parent-child associations between labour charge categories. For example, your company may allow or require employees to charge their labour to certain Jobs within Departments or to specific Work Orders or Tasks within Jobs.

Although some labour charge fields accept free-form information, most are configured to accept only values that have been defined for that labour charge field. For example, if your company uses the Department labour charge field, you can only enter department names or codes that have been defined for your company. As an administrator, you can define and edit the labour charge field values that are accepted for the labour charge fields used by your company.

Note: Although the procedure for editing most labour charge field values is similar, special steps are required when working with Job values, TimeZone values, or values for labour charge fields that are have a parent-child relationship with other labour charge fields.
