I am trying to create a wage rate program definition for a particular Department, but the Department column doesn't show up on the Wage Rate Program page. Why not?

If Department is a valid labour charge field used by your company, but it is not showing up on the Wage Rate Program page, it has probably not been configured for use in wage rate programs. Contact your ADP ezLaborManager representative if a labour charge category that you think should be available for wage rate programs is not appearing on the Wage Rate Program page.
I have assigned a wage rate program to my employee and checked the Override Pay Group option so that the employee wage rate program will override any pay group wage rate program that might be in place. Nonetheless, the employee's payroll summary does not reflect the rates in the assigned wage rate program. Why not?

There are several factors that could be causing this. The most likely is that the earnings code to which the employee's hours are assigned is not configured to use the wage rate program method of calculating payroll. It may also be that the effective dates of the rates you defined have not yet passed.
Can I assign multiple wage rate programs to an employee?

No. You can only assign one wage rate program to an employee. You can, however, assign multiple wage rate definitions to that wage rate program, which should give you the flexibility to configure rates for all your needs.
I assigned a specific rate to my employee for work performed in the Sales Department for Job 20, but the employee is not receiving the correct rate for time pairs assigned to these values. I know that the Regular earnings code that the hours were distributed to is configured to use the job rate method of calculation, so why isn't the employee receiving the rate I defined?

Even if the earnings code is configured to use job rates, there are several other settings that determine which specific job rate is used. For example, your company may have configured the earnings code so that the rate you defined is compared to the employee's base rate and the higher of the two is used. If the employee's base rate is higher than the rate you defined, the payroll amount may not be what you expected.
