Viewing Security Group Assignments
As an administrator you can quickly view the current security group assignments for employees and users that you have access to. For instructions, click the following links:
Viewing an employee's security group assignments
To view an employee's security groups assignments:
Click the Setup tab.
Under the Setup tab, click the Employee Positions (or Employees) link. The Employees page opens.
Click the button (next to the Find button). The Employee ID Lookup window opens. Select the employee
for whom you want to view security group assignments.
Expand the Employee Positions section, then click the Employee Security link on the left side of the page. The Security section opens.
Click the View Employee - User Security Group Assignments link on the right side of the page. The Employee - User Security Group Assignments page opens.
Notes:
Under the Users who can access
[NAME
OF EMPLOYEE]
section, the following information is displayed in each column:
- User (Type): Lists
all ezLaborManager
users who can view the records of the employee you selected
in step 3.
- Security Group: Lists
the security groups to which the selected employee belongs.
You can click the security group name to view details about
the security group's configuration. (If a user has access
to all employees in the company, the Can
access all employees message is displayed, which cannot
be clicked.)
- Start Date - End Date:
Lists the date the employee became a member of the security
group and the date (if any) the employee will stop being a
member of the security group.
Under the [NAME OF EMPLOYEE]
can access section, the following information is displayed
in each column:
- Security Group: Lists
all security groups to which the employee you selected in
step 3 has access to. You can click the security group name
to view details about the security group's configuration.
If the employee does not have access to any security groups,
this section is blank.
- Start Date - End Date:
Lists the date the employee began having access to the security
group and the date (if any) the employee will stop having
access to the security group.
- Employee Count: The
number of employees who are members of the security group.
Viewing a user's security group assignments
To view a user's security groups assignments:
Click the Setup tab.
Under the Setup tab, click the Users link. The Users page opens.
Select the user whose security group assignments you want to view. All users to whom you have access are listed alphabetically by last name.
Tips:
To sort the list by user ID or first name, click the
User ID or First
Name column heading.
To search for a specific name, select Last Name from the Column drop-down menu, enter a last
name in the Search field,
and then click the button. (You can also
search by a User ID or
First Name.)
On the User page, click the Security menu item on the left side of the page. The Security section opens.
Click the View Employee - User Security Group Assignments link on the right side of the page. The Employee - User Security Group Assignments page opens.
Notes:
Under the Users who can access
[NAME
OF USER] section,
the following information is displayed in each column:
- User (Type): Lists
all ezLaborManager
users who can view the records of the user you selected in
step 4.
- Security Group: Lists
the security groups to which the selected user belongs. You
can click the security group name to view details about the
security group's configuration. (If a user has access to all
employees in the company, the Can
access all employees message is displayed, which cannot
be clicked.)
- Start Date - End Date:
Lists the date the user became a member of the security group

the security group.
