Creating Termination Reason Codes
If you are a client administrator and you have the necessary authorisation, you can create termination reason codes for use by administrators in your company.
In Administrator Services, click the Configuration tab.
Click the Global Settings subtab.
Under the Reason Codes heading on the Global Settings subtab, click the Termination Reason Codes link.
On the Termination Reason Codes page, click the Add New button.
On the Termination Reason Code page, enter a name for the new code in the Termination Code field. For example, if you want to create a code for use when employees voluntarily leave the company, you might enter the following code: TERM_VOLUN.
Tip: Using all uppercase letters makes it easy to recognise that this is a code.
In the Description field, enter a description for the termination code. For the example used above, you might enter "Terminated Voluntarily" for an employee who left the company voluntarily.
Click the Submit button. The code you created appears on the Termination Reason Codes page, and administrators can use it when terminating employees.
