ezLaborManager
does not notify you explicitly when an attendance exception is
generated, so it is important that you be aware of your company's
attendance policies. You can determine whether your company tracks
attendance exceptions by clicking the Attendance Exceptions link
on the My Attendance page.
If your company does not track attendance, the message "You
are currently not assigned to an Attendance Program" will
be displayed. If your company does track exceptions, you should
check the Attendance Exceptions page periodically to monitor your
attendance exceptions and your infraction level.
If your Attendance Exception page
contains an area in the upper right corner that lists your infraction
level, your company is using an attendance policy that assigns
infractions when you have accrued a specified number of attendance
exception points. Depending on your company's attendance policy,
some attendance infractions levels require corrective or disciplinary
action to be taken. Each company defines its own infraction levels
and point systems, so you should consult your supervisor
if you have specific questions about your infraction level.
These buttons allow you to report unplanned late arrivals or
absences that are caused by unexpected circumstances such as illness,
car trouble, etc. If you know more than a day in advance that
you will be late or absent, you should contact your supervisor directly, so that
he or she can adjust your work schedule in ezLaborManager.
No. The attendance notification feature simply creates a record
and sends a notice indicating that you anticipate that you will
be late or absent. If you are late, you will still need to record
your working time in your usual manner (using the clocking buttons
or the timecard,
depending on your time-entry method), even if you have sent a
late arrival notice. If you are absent from work, you or your
supervisor will
need to record your non-worked hours if they are to be charged
to an earnings code (such as SICK or VAC).
