All of the times used and displayed by ezLaborManager
are based on the clock of the machine on which the application
is running, not the clock of the local computer you are using.
This means that the application times may be slightly different
from your computer clock. Using the application clock for all
transactions ensures the accuracy of your time data, since all
of your clocking times will be based on the same clock, even if
you clock in and out from different computers.
The three-hour difference is probably due to your time zone
setting. All of the times displayed by ezLaborManager
will be shown in the home time zone assigned to your account by
your system administrator,
even if you are traveling and clock in from another location.
If you believe your default time zone setting is incorrect, contact
your system administrator.
Yes, it does matter whether you use the Clock Out or the Lunch
Out icon. Some companies do not require employees to record their
lunch periods, while other companies require that employees punch
out using the Clock Out icon rather than the Lunch Out icon. You
should check with your supervisor
to learn whether you are required to record your lunch period
and, if so, whether you should use the Clock Out icon or the Lunch
Out icon.
It is important to follow your company's specific lunch procedure,
since your time will be calculated differently depending on which
icon you use to record your lunch period. If you use the
Lunch Out icon and are not required to, your total working time
may not be calculated correctly.
