Saving a Report as a CSV File
When you save a report as a comma-separated value (CSV) file, the data is saved in plain-text format and commas are used to separate the data into columns. CSV files are useful if you want to import your report data into spreadsheets or other applications.
Note: This feature is not meant to be used as a payroll exporting feature. To export time, attendance, and accrual data to payroll or human resource programs, use the ezLaborManager Export feature.
To save a personalised or standard report as a CSV file:
In the upper right corner of any main ezLaborManager
page, click the button.
The Reports page opens (or
the Reports - Home page if
report scheduling is enabled).
From the Manager Home page, click the Reports icon.
If you want to save a personalised
report that you have previously created, click the button to the left of the report
in the My Reports section.
The Download Report page opens.
Go to step 5 to continue with this procedure.
If you want to save a standard report, click the Administrator Reports or Supervisor Reports link under the Report Categories section. The Administrator Reports or Supervisor Reports page opens.
In the list of reports, click
the button to the left
of the report that you want to save. The Download
Report page opens.
Note: If the time frame for the report was configured as "Define at Runtime," the page contains a date range section.
If the date range section
appears, use the buttons to select the From Date and To
Date for the report. (You can also type the dates directly
into the fields.)
In the File Name field, enter a name for the CSV file.
If you do not want column headers included in the CSV file, click the Include Column Headers check box to remove the check mark.
Click the Submit button.
Depending on your browser and security settings, the File Download dialog box may appear. If this dialog box appears, you can click Open to view the CSV file immediately or click Save to select a file location and save the file to your computer's hard drive. Follow the remaining on-screen dialog boxes to finish saving the file.
Note: If you select Open, the CSV file is opened using the default application you have associated with CSV files.
