Using Drill-Down Pages

In many areas of ezLaborManager, you can "drill down" one or more levels to get more detailed information or perform certain procedures. The pages used to display the more detailed information or the procedures are called drill-down pages, and they are typically opened by clicking a text link or a button. In some cases, there may be several layers of increasing detail, so you may be able to drill down from a drill-down page.

To help you orient yourself while you are drilling down, a You are here navigation trail is displayed near the top left corner of each drill-down page. The navigation trail contains a link for each page you visited as you were drilling down. The last item in the navigation trail represents the page you are currently viewing. You can return to any page in your drill-down path by clicking the corresponding link in the You are here trail. To return to the main page from which you started drilling down, click the leftmost link or click the label of the tab from which you started.

If you have accrued any benefits, such as vacation or sick hours, you can see how the drill-down mechanism works by following these steps:

In the Description column of the Benefits section, click one of the listed benefits, such as Vacation. (The actual benefits listed will vary by company.)

The My Benefits tab will refresh to display a Benefit Detail page that contains specific information about your accrual balances for the benefit you selected. Near the top of the tab , the following navigation trail is displayed: You are here: My Benefits > Benefit Detail.
Click a value in the Year to Date or All column.

The My Benefits tab will refresh again and display a Benefit Transaction page that contains information about the specific transactions related to the value you selected. The navigation trail changes to: You are here: My Benefits > Benefit Detail > Benefit Transactions.

To return to the detail page for the benefit you selected, click Benefit Detail in the You are here navigation trail. To jump back to the summary of all of your benefits, click My Benefits in the navigation trail.

The procedure for reporting that you will be late involves using a drill-down page. To see how the page works, follow these steps:

From the Employee Services Home tab , click the Late Arrival button. The default content of the Home tab (including the Today's Activities and Schedule at a Glance information) is replaced with the Report Late Arrival Form. You can tell that this form is a drill-down page because it still appears on the Home tab and a You are here: Home > Late Arrival navigation trail appears in the upper left corner of the tab .
To return to the main Home tab without entering a late arrival notice, click the Home link in the You are here path.

Tips:
The You are here navigation trail is only displayed when you are viewing a drill-down page. If you are on a main, top-level page, the navigation trail is not displayed.

In addition to the You are here navigation trail, a Back to link appears near the bottom of drill-down pages. The Back to link returns you to the next highest page in your drill-down path.
