Entering Numbers
Many ezLaborManager forms require you to enter numbers other than dates or times (see Specifying Dates and Specifying Times for information about using numbers to enter dates and times). The total number of digits and the number of decimal places required or allowed varies by field, as do the ways in which each number is interpreted and processed by ezLaborManager (for example, some numbers are rounded but others are not).
In most cases, ezLaborManager will automatically convert your number into the format required by the field. For instance, if you enter "8" in a field that requires two decimal places, ezLaborManager will change your entry to "8.00" when you click outside of the field or use the tab button to jump to the next field. If the number you have entered does not fit the expected format and cannot be interpreted by ezLaborManager, an error message will appear and describe the correct numeric format for the field.
Tips:
You must use the numbers 0 – 9 to enter numeric values. ezLaborManager does
not recognise spelled-out numbers.
The only non-numeric characters recognised in numeric fields are the decimal
indicator (a period in English) and, in some circumstances, a plus (+)
or minus ( - ) sign.
