The Group Labor page displays an overview of your employees' recent time pairs and payroll adjustments and provides links and buttons that you can use to view more detailed information and perform common editing and management tasks as described below.

Filter field

Identifies the current employee filter. As a supervisor, you can view time pair information for all of the employees you supervise and any employees who are on loan to you. Your default filter will usually include all of these employees. If you supervise a large number of employees, you may want to create and use other filters so that you can view one subset of your employees at a time.

Note: As with all of the pages that use the employee filter, Group Labor defaults to the last employee filter used, even if the filter was set on a different page.

Employee Filter Button button

Allows you to change which employees are included in the selected filter, or to switch to a different filter.

Date drop-down menu

Indicates the period of time for which information is currently being displayed and allows you to change the time period. To view a different time period, click the down arrow and select one of the available options.

Note: The Group Labor page is intended to provide a summary of recent time pair information only, so the available options are limited to Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Last Week, This Week, and Next Week. If you want to view time pair information outside of this range, use the Timecard Manager.

Timecard Manager link

Opens the Timecard Manager, from which you can edit, approve, and view more details about employee time pairs.

Note: The Timecard Manager will open in Single Employee View or Multiple Employee View, depending upon your Timecard Manager Preferences.

Supplemental Earnings link

Opens the Supplemental Earnings page, which you can use to enter, view, and edit supplemental earnings for your employees. See Supplemental Earnings Overview.

Note: This link will only be available if your company has activated the supplemental earnings feature.

Quick Charge link

Opens the Recent Quick Charge Requests page, from which you can quickly record a clock in, clock out, or lunch out time for one or more time-based employees or split an existing time pair to assign it to two labour charge categories or two earnings codes.

Time Off Requests link

Opens the Time Off Requests page, which allows you to view summary information about the time off requests submitted by your employees. By default, the list is filtered to display requests that are awaiting your review. You can click a request number in the list to review and approve, partially approve, deny, or cancel the request.

Status column

Contains icons that indicate the processing status of each time pair or payroll adjustment. The most common status icons are described below.

Not Yet Processed

The data on this line has not yet been processed by ezLaborManager.

Processed Successfully

The data on this line has been successfully processed by ezLaborManager.

Processed With Warnings

One or more warnings resulted when the data on this line was processed by ezLaborManager. (Warnings are less severe than errors. They do not have to be resolved before payroll is processed.)

Processed With Errors

One or more errors resulted when the data on this line was processed by ezLaborManager. (Errors are more severe than warnings and must be resolved before payroll is processed.)

Payroll Adjustment

This entry is a payroll adjustment made by administrators.

Note: Unlike the status icons in the Timecard Manager, these icons are not clickable. To view more information about a time pair's status, click the Time column for the time pair to open the Timecard Manager. Then click the status icon in the Timecard Manager to open a Time Pair Detail window.

Name column

Indicates the name and employee ID of the employee with whom the time pair on the row is associated.

Note: To view an employee's personal, configuration, service, security, and rate information, click anywhere in the name column on the employee's row. A pop-up window will display the available contact and employment information.

Timecard button

Opens a drill-down page for the employee listed on the row in which the button was clicked. This drill-down page includes the same Payroll Summary, and Supplemental Earnings Summary information that is displayed on the Timecard Manager page. Information will be displayed for the pay period in which the time pair occurred.

Payroll Distribution button

Opens the Payroll Distribution drill-down page, which displays the earnings codes associated with the time pair. If your company allows supervisors to view employee rate information, the employee's rate and the calculated sterling amount for the time pair are also displayed. If the record for which you are viewing distribution information is a payroll adjustment, additional information will also be displayed.

Time column

Indicates the day, date, start time, and end time of a time pair. To view more information about a time pair, click in the Time column of the appropriate row. This will open a Single Employee Timecard Manager that shows all of time pairs for the day and employee associated with the time pair you clicked. From the Timecard Manager page, you can edit, approve, or view more information about these time pairs.

Note: On the Group Labor page every time pair for the selected Date range is listed on a separate row. There can be multiple time pairs per employee per day (for example, if an employee clocks out for lunch and then back in after lunch).

Out Type column

Indicates whether the ending time of the time pair represents a "Lunch Punch" (LP) or a regular out punch (column is blank). For clocking or time-based employees whose companies use automatic lunch deductions, a " NL" in this column indicates that "no lunch" was taken (so no deduction should be assessed to the time pair when it is processed). This column is not relevant for hours-based employees.

Hours column

Displays the total hours worked (for hours-based employees) or indicates the total calculated hours for the time pair (for clocking and time-based employees).

Labor Charge columns
(two, often named Department and Job)

Indicate the labour categories to which the time pair has been charged. On the Group Labor page, there will always be no more than two labour charge columns, even if your company uses more than two labour charges. These two columns are commonly named Department and Job, although your company may use different names.

Note: If your company uses three or more labour charge fields, use the Timecard Manager to view all of the labour charges for a time pair. You can open the Timecard Manager from the Group Labor page by clicking a time pair or the Timecard Manager link.

Earnings Code column

Displays the earnings code, if any, associated with the time pair.

Approved column

Indicates the manager approval status of a time pair or the payroll administrator approval status of the payroll adjustment. A check mark will appear in this column if the time pair or payroll adjustment has been approved.

Note: Only time pairs that have already been successfully processed can be approved. If a time pair has not yet been processed, or has been processed with errors, the approval check boxes will not be active.
