Creating a Daily Schedule for a Single Employee
You can use the Edit Schedule page to create a daily schedule for a single employee for a specific day. Daily schedules override any recurring schedules they overlap. A daily schedule must include a date in, a time in, a date out, and a time out. You can also associate an earnings code, a lunch plan, a shift rule, and/or one or two labor charge categories with a daily schedule.
To create a daily schedule for a single employee:
Click the Home tab, and then click the Schedules link.
Select the date cell for the employee's schedule you want to edit.
Enter the Time In and Time Out for the new schedule in the In and Out fields.
Tip: The Date In and Date Out fields default to the date you selected in the Monthly Schedule. If the Time Out you enter is equal to or earlier than the Time In, ezLaborManager will adjust the Date Out to be the day after the Date In.
If desired, use the buttons
to select an earnings code, a lunch plan, a shift rule, a Flextime
rule and/or one or two labor charge codes to be associated with the
schedule.
Tips:
These fields are optional. If you select or enter values for these fields,
they will override the employee's assigned defaults.
Although your company may use more than two labor charge categories, only
two labor charge fields can be associated with a schedule. Your system administrator determines
which labor charge fields are available on the Edit Schedule page, based
on your company's ezLaborManager
configuration.
Click the Apply button.
Tip: In most cases, the Total Hours field is read-only. After you click Apply, ezLaborManager will figure the total hours for the new schedule, taking into account your company's time calculation and lunch plan rules, and will display the result in this field. If you are using certain earnings codes that are associated with hours, you must enter the total hours rather than an in and out time.
Click the Submit button to save changes.
