An "employee" is a person whose time and attendance
information is recorded in ezLaborManager.
An employee cannot access ezLaborManager
unless he/she has a Login Status of Access Granted.
A "user" is an employee who has been given access
by an administrator.
A user can access the application to clock in and out, view benefit
information, and perform other tasks. A user accesses ezLaborManager by
entering a user ID and password.
The Emulation and Pay Cycle Access menu items are only available
when you are viewing the access details of a user who meets one
or both of the following conditions: the Administrator check box
is selected and the ADMIN user role is assigned for the user (both
on the Employees page), or the Is Supervisor check box is selected
for the user in his or her employee record.
No. An access denied user's data is not deleted from the ezLaborManager
database. The access denied status only prevents the user from
accessing the application. The user's login status can be changed
back to Granted at any time.
Yes. EL_ALL is a special security group that allows certain
administrators
to view all employees, regardless of the employees’ security group
settings. If you are a payroll administrator or other administrator who needs
access to all employees, contact your system administrator
or ADP ezLaborManager representative
to get access to the EL_ALL security group.
To give the user Supervisor
access,
select the Supervisor
Access Role and
the Is Supervisor check
box on the Employees page. Complete the following steps :
Click the Setup tab.
Click the Employee
Positions (or Employees)
link.
On the Employees page,
click the button (next to
the Find button), and then select the employee to whom you
want to give access to Supervisor
pages.
Click the button for Access Role, and then select Supervisor. Note:
When you select the Supervisor or Admin role, the Is Supervisor
check box is automatically selected. The Is Supervisor option
ensures that your supervisors have access to the Manager Home
Page tab, receive notifications for employee time off requests,
and access to the Reports button.
