Limiting Data to a Particular Period of Time
Many ezLaborManager pages allow you to limit the data displayed by specifying a time period. The two most common methods for restricting data to a particular time period are:
Using a Drop-Down with Predefined Options
Some types of data (such as timecard information), have generic time frames for which information is requested. For instance, the current pay period or the current day. ezLaborManager uses the drop-down menu to make it easy to select data for these common time frames.
Note: You can specify a different or custom time frame even when generic time frames are provided.
The My Labor is a good example of the use of generic date ranges. When you first click My Labor, your timecard information for the week displays with the current day (the Date Selection drop-down is set to Today). To change the time frame for which data is displayed:
Click
to view the other options.
Select the time period for which you want data to be displayed. The typical options are:
Current Pay Period
Next Pay Period
Previous Pay Period
Today
Other Pay Period
Notes:
If you select Current Pay Period, Next Pay Period, Previous Pay Period,
or Today, the data refreshes immediately to display data for the selected
time period.
If you select Other Pay Period, enter the date for which you want data
to be displayed and click Find.
When you enter a date, the pay period containing that date is displayed
after you click Find.
Defining a Range Using Two Date Fields
On forms that present information that is not viewed often, or in situations where very specific time frames are used often, two date fields are provided to allow you to specify the exact time period for which you want to view information. The Attendance Notification History page provides a good example of how to create a date filter by specifying both a start and end date.
On the Employee Services Home , click View Attendance Notifications.
Note that the initial display of attendance notification data is already filtered to a specific date range (upper left).
To view information for a different range of dates, enter a new start and end date, or use the calendar lookups to select dates (see Specifying Dates for full instructions).
Click Find to run the search with the newly specified date range.
