To remove an employee's recurring schedule assignment so that scheduled time pairs based on the recurring schedule no longer appear on the employee's schedule:

  1. Click the Home tab.

  2. Under the Home tab, click the Timecard Manager link.

  3. If the Multiple Employee Timecard Manager opens, click the Single Employee View link near the upper right corner of the page to view the Timecard Manager for one employee. If the single employee Timecard Manager opens, skip this step.

  4. On the Timecard Manager, click the Select button (next to the Find button). The Employee ID Lookup window opens. Select the employee whose recurring schedule assignment you want to remove. The Timecard Manager refreshes and displays timecard information for the selected employee.

  5. Click the Schedule link above the table of timecard data. The Monthly Schedule page opens and displays in a calendar view the employee's schedule for the four-week period that begins with the week that was being viewed in the Timecard Manager.

  6. In the left-most column of the Monthly Schedule page, click one of the Recurring Schedule buttons. The Recurring Schedules page opens and displays the employee's recurring schedule assignments for a four-week period beginning with the week for which you clicked the Recurring Schedule button. In each date cell, a description of the recurring schedule (if any) in effect for that date is displayed. If no recurring schedule has been assigned for a date, the corresponding calendar cell is empty.

Tip: You can use the Previous and Next date buttons to move the Recurring Schedules view backward or forward one week at a time. You can also use the Week Of drop-down menu to navigate to a specific starting week. To return to a four-week view that begins with the current week, click the Current Week button.

  7. Click any calendar cell that contains a recurring schedule assignment that you want to remove. The Edit Recurring Schedules page opens and displays the Start Date, End Date (if any), and Start Week for the recurring schedule assignment.

    Notes:
Before proceeding to the next step, note the start and end dates of the recurring schedule assignment. If you remove the recurring schedule from the employee's overall schedule, it will be removed for the entire range of dates defined by the start and end date. If you want to change the effective dates of the recurring schedule instead, simply change the values in the Start Date and End Date fields and then click the Submit button. For example, if you want the recurring schedule not to appear on the employee's schedule after a certain date, enter that date in the End Date field and click the Submit button.

If you want to view more information about the recurring schedule before deciding whether to remove it from the employee's schedule, click the Preview link to open the Preview Recurring Schedule pop-up window. Then, to view even more detail about the recurring schedule template, click a week number in the pop-up window. The window expands to show more detailed information for the selected week in the template, including each time pair defined for that week and the earnings codes, labor charge category values, lunch plans, Flextime rules and/or shift rules that have been associated with each time pair. When you are finished viewing the preview information, click the Close button to close the pop-up window.

  8. If you are certain that you want to delete the recurring schedule assignment, click the Delete button.

Notes:
If the employee had been assigned to two or more overlapping or nested recurring schedules, a schedule may still appear in the Recurring Schedules calendar for the dates previously assigned to the deleted schedule. If this happens, the schedule that appears in the calendar will be in effect unless you remove it also.

Removing a recurring schedule assignment as described in this procedure does not affect the master recurring schedule template. You can reassign the recurring schedule to this employee or any other employee at any time, as long as the template itself is not deleted.
