Reading the Attendance Exceptions Detail Page
The table below describes the information displayed on the Attendance Exceptions Detail page.
Date |
The date the attendance exception occurred. The information on the Attendance Exceptions Detail page is sorted by this date. |
Tracking Code |
The type of attendance exception. The tracking codes used by your company are defined by your system administrator. Note: If your company imposes disciplinary measures related to attendance, such measures may be recorded as attendance events using codes such as "Corrective Action." |
Hours |
The hours associated with the attendance exception (e.g., the amount of time you were sick, the fraction of an hour by which you arrived late, etc.). Not all attendance exceptions have hours associated with them. |
Days |
Indicates the number of days (or part of a day) by which the associated accrued benefit balance (for example, sick time) was reduced as a result of the exception. This field is only visible if your company tracks benefits for non-worked time (such as vacation and illness) in days. |
Points |
The number of points assessed due to the attendance exception. You will only see attendance points if your company has chosen to display them. Note: Some transactions, such as corrective actions, may have a negative value. |
Occurrence |
The number of times that the exception has occurred. This figure is based on your company's attendance policies. If your company tracks consecutive exceptions, the occurrence will show how many exceptions have occurred. For example, it will show 3 if the exception is the third time you have been late. If you company tracks exceptions without regard to whether they are consecutive, the occurrence column will always show 1. |
Timecard Exception |
The timecard event that automatically generated the exception. Note: Not all attendance exceptions are generated by timecard events. |
Earnings Code |
The earnings code to be applied to any hours associated with the exception. For example, if you are absent due to illness, your company may charge your normal number of working hours for the day to an earnings code called SICK. Notes: |
Excused |
Indicates whether the attendance exception has been excused. In general, if an attendance exception is excused by your supervisor, no points will be assessed for that exception, but attendance policies vary by company. |
Generated By |
How the attendance exception was created. Some attendance exceptions are generated automatically by ezLaborManager based on clocking or time sheet information, while others are entered manually by supervisors or administrators. |
