Excusing Employees' Attendance Exceptions
If your company has implemented ezLaborManager's attendance tracking and infraction features, your employees will be assessed points for certain types of attendance exceptions. In some circumstances, you may want to excuse an attendance exception so that any points associated with the exception are not assessed. An attendance exception that has been excused still appears in an employee's exception history, but no attendance points are assessed to the employee for the excused exception. If your company has chosen not to display points for an employee, attendance points do not appear in ezLaborManager for the employee.
To excuse attendance exceptions:
From the Home page, click the Employee Attendance link.
Click the button (next to the Find button). The Employee ID Lookup window opens. Select the employee whose information you want to view.
Click Attendance Exceptions.
In the Specify Date Range field, click and select Current Pay Period. The page will refresh immediately.
Note: Only attendance exceptions in the current pay period can be excused.
Click a tracking code in the attendance exceptions list to open an Attendance Exception Detail page displaying information about the exceptions in that category.
Click the check box in the Excused column for any exceptions you want to excuse.
Click the Submit button.
If necessary, repeat the above steps to excuse exceptions in other tracking categories.
Notes:
If you need to reverse an excuse, repeat the same procedure. Clicking a
checked Excused box will remove the check mark. (Remember to click
Submit to save your changes.)
The attendance point totals will not be changed immediately when you change
the excused status of an employee's attendance exceptions. The point totals
will be updated when the attendance processor runs. See your system administrator for information
about the attendance processor schedule.
If your company has chosen not to display points for the employee, attendance
points will not appear.
