Frequently Asked Questions about Managing Employee Attendance

  • How do I remove attendance notifications from my ezLaborManager Inbox?

To delete a message from the ezLaborManager Inbox:

    1. In Supervisor Services, click the Home tab.

    2. On the left side of the Inbox, click the folder that contains the message you want to delete. The right side of the Inbox displays all read and unread messages contained in the folder.

    3. On the right side of the Inbox, select the check box next to each message that you want to delete.

    4. Click the Delete link that appears below the list of messages.

    5. In the confirmation dialog box, click the OK button.

      Notes:
After you click the OK button, each message that you deleted is moved to the Recently Deleted folder. You cannot permanently delete messages from this folder. Messages are permanently deleted according to the following rules:

      - When you move a message to the Recently Deleted folder, the message is deleted only when all recipients have marked the message for deletion. Otherwise the message is deleted after approximately 90 days.

      - If a message (such as an unapproved timecard message) has an end date, it is not removed until the end date has passed.

      - Any message that you do not move to the Recently Deleted folder is automatically deleted after 90 days.

      - In most cases, System Messages are set to the highest priority level and you cannot delete them. These messages are automatically deleted at a specific time, depending on how the message was configured by ADP.

      - You can undelete messages from the Recently Deleted folder that has not yet been permanently deleted.

  • When I use the Previous Employee and Next Employee arrows to scroll through employee information on the , records for some employees that I do not supervise are displayed. Why does this happen, and is there any way to avoid this?

You can solve this problem by creating and using a new employee filter that includes only employees you supervise. As a manager, you have access to all employees who belong to the security groups to which you have been assigned, even if you do not supervise every employee in each of those security groups. If you believe these employees are assigned to the wrong security group, contact your system administrator.

  • An employee I supervise had three time pair exceptions for arriving late, and these three events caused him to reach our Verbal Warning infraction level. I cleared the time pair exceptions by selecting the "Note" solution on the Exceptions by Employee page, but the attendance exceptions and infraction were not cleared. Why not, and how do I clear them?

Selecting the "Note" solution indicates that you are aware of the late arrivals and clears the time pair exceptions, which must be resolved before a pay period can be closed. Using the "Note" solution does not change the employee's time pair, so your attendance tracking program still recognizes that the employee clocked in late, and this generates attendance exceptions and the infraction. If you are aware of the late arrivals and do not want the employee to be penalized for them, follow the procedure to excuse attendance exceptions.
