If your company charges employee hours to specific labour categories (such as departments and/or jobs), ezLaborManager automatically charges your hours to your default categories when you use the Clock In icon. However, you may occasionally perform work outside of these home categories. In such cases, use the Transfer to charge your hours to different labour categories. The Transfer records the exact time at which you submit your transfer, so you should perform your labour transfer at the time you begin working in a different category.

To transfer to a different labour category:

  1. In Employee Services, click the Home tab.

  2. On the Today’s Activities section, click the Transfer button.

  3. Click the Lookup button to the right of a labour category (such as Department or Job) for which you want to record a transfer. The specific labour categories that appear on the Transfer page vary by company.

  4. In the lookup window, click the code in the Department column for your transfer. The code you select is then displayed in the LCF field on the Transfer page. The description for the code is displayed to the right of the field.

  5. Repeat these steps as necessary to make changes in other labour categories.

  6. Click the Submit button. The Today's Activities section of the Home tab displays a Transfer is successful message. The date, time, LCF value, and LCF description for the transfer are also displayed.

Notes:
Your hours will continue to be charged to the categories to which you have transferred only until you clock out, lunch out, or perform another labour transfer. Each time you begin a work segment using the Clock In , your hours for that shift are charged to your home categories until you perform a labour transfer.

If you start your working day outside of your home labour categories, you do not need to clock in before using the Transfer button. If you have not yet clocked in when you click the Transfer , you will be clocked in at the same time that your transfer is processed.
