Note: Attendance infractions are an optional feature of the Time & Attendance module. If your company does not use attendance tracking and attendance infractions, the information on this page will not apply to you.

If your company has enabled the Time & Attendance module's attendance tracking feature and assigns points to attendance exceptions, your ADP Time & Attendance Representative can also configure for your company an attendance infraction program that will alert you when an employee has been assessed enough attendance exception points to require a corrective action. The specific point threshold for each infraction level and the required corrective actions are defined by ADP according to your company's policies.

When an employee reaches an infraction level that requires a corrective action, the employee's direct supervisor is notified through an exception that appears on the  Home in the Manager role. As a practitioner, you can view an employee's infraction level at any time on the Attendance Exceptions page.

To view an employee's current attendance infraction level:

  1. From the Time & Attendance menu, select Maintenance.

Note: If the Maintenance option is not visible, make sure that you have selected Practitioner in the Role Selector.

  2. Under the Employee heading, click the Attendance Exceptions link.

  3. On the Attendance Exceptions page, click the Select button (next to the Find button), and then select the employee whose attendance infraction level you want to view.

The page refreshes to display the employee's information. If the employee is assigned to an attendance infraction program, the employee's infraction level (even if it is "None") is displayed in the upper right corner of the Attendance Exceptions page, under the heading Current Attendance Infraction Level.

Note: If the employee's current infraction level is one that requires a corrective action, the lefthand menu will include a menu option called Corrective Action Required. You can use this link to record a corrective action. If the menu is not visible, click the Show Menu button.
