The Time & Attendance module tracks all changes made to payroll records, including payroll adjustments, in the edit audit history. Each time a payroll adjustment is created, edited, or deleted, the date of the change, the user ID of the individual who made the change, and all affected field values (both before and after the change) are recorded in an edit audit history. As a practitioner, you can view edit audit information for employees who are assigned to security groups to which you have access.

To view edit audit information for payroll adjustments:

  1. From the Time & Attendance menu, select Maintenance.

    Note: If the Maintenance option is not visible, make sure that you have selected Practitioner in the Role Selector.

  2. Under the Payroll heading on the Maintenance page, click the Payroll Adjustment/Unapproval link.

  3. On the Payroll Adjustment/Unapproval page, click the Select button (next to the Find button). The Employee ID Lookup window opens. Select the employee whose edit audit information you want to view.

  4. Click the Timecard Detail tab.

  5. From the Date Selection drop-down menu, select the pay period that contains the payroll adjustment for which you want to view edit audit information. To view the current, next, or previous pay period, select Current Pay Period, Next Pay Period, or Previous Pay Period. To view a different pay period, click the Select button and select a pay period from the Pay Period Lookup window.

    The Timecard Detail tab refreshes and displays time pairs and payroll adjustments that have pay dates that fall within the pay period you selected.

  6. Click the Payroll Adjustment button next to the payroll adjustment for which you want to view the edit audit history. A Time Pair Detail page opens for the adjustment.

  7. On the Time Pair Detail page, click the Edit Audit History link in the upper right corner. The Time Pair Edit Audit page opens and displays each transaction related to the payroll adjustment.

    Note: To view additional details (such as the fields that were edited, the old values, and the new values) for a specific transaction, click anywhere in the row that lists the transaction. The window expands to display the Edit Audit Detail section.

Tip: To return to the Payroll Adjustment and Unapproval page, click the Close button on the Time Pair Edit Audit page, and then click the Close button on the Time Pair Detail page.
