Note: These instructions are intended for practitioners who do not have access to the Manager role. If you have manager user rights, we recommend that you perform this task from the Manager role.

As a practitioner you can view a Supplemental Earnings Summary for any employee who belongs to a security group to which you have access. The Supplemental Earnings Summary displays an employee's earnings by supplemental earnings code and is displayed alongside the Payroll Summary.

To view a Supplemental Earnings Summary from the Practitioner role:

  1. From the Time & Attendance menu, select Timecards. Either the Single Employee Timecard Manager or the Multiple Employee Timecard Manager will open, depending upon your Timecard Manager Preferences.

Note: If the Timecards option is not visible, make sure that you have selected Practitioner in the Role Selector.

  2. If the Multiple Employee Timecard Manager opens, click the Single Employee View link near the upper right corner of the page to view the Timecard Manager for one employee. If the single employee Timecard Manager opens, skip this step.

  3. In the top right corner of the Timecard Manager, click the Supplemental Earnings link to open the Supplemental Earnings page.

Tip: If the Supplemental Earnings link is not visible, your company does not support supplemental earnings. Contacts if you want to enable the Supplemental Earnings feature.

  4. Use the employee filter (Employee Filter), navigation (Previous and Next), and/or lookup (Lookup) buttons to select the employee whose information you want to view.

  5. Use the date selection tools to specify the time period for which you want to view supplemental earnings information.

Tip: If you select User-Defined Date Range, you must enter a start date and an end date (either manually or by using the Calendar Lookup buttons) and then click Find to refresh the page using the new date information.

  6. Click the Payroll Summary link near the top right corner of the Supplemental Earnings page.

A pop-up window will display a Payroll Summary and, if the employee has supplemental earnings records for the specified date range, a Supplemental Earnings Summary.

  7. To view information about specific supplemental earnings transactions for a supplemental earnings code, click the supplemental earnings code in the Supplemental Earnings Summary. A pop-up window will display detailed information about all of the transactions during the specified time period that used that supplemental earnings code.

Notes:
The summaries that are displayed in the Payroll Summary pop-up window will cover the same date range as the Supplemental Earnings page from which the summary window was opened. By adjusting the date range of the Supplemental Earnings page, you can view a Supplemental Earnings Summary for a single day or for a range of days that spans more than one pay period.

The Supplemental Earnings Summary may include two sections. The
Supplemental Earnings considered part of Gross Payroll section displays information about supplemental earnings that are included in an employee's reported gross earnings. Supplemental earnings that are not considered to be part of an employee's gross earnings are listed in the Other Supplemental Earnings section. Each of these sections will only be visible if data exists for it for the specified time period.

You can also view Payroll Summary and Supplemental Earnings Summary by clicking the
Payroll Summary link from the Timecard Manager (Single View) in the Practitioner role.
