After you enter your time and attendance information, The Time & Attendance Module performs processes and calculations using the new data. Your timecard has to be processed each time you enter or edit timecard data. Occasionally, when new data is processed, The Time & Attendance Module may detect certain problems with the data and generate warnings or errors.

If you are viewing the current or next pay period on the page the Payroll Summary includes a status message indicating whether your timecard has been processed and whether any irregularities or "exceptions" were found. Some of the most common status messages are listed below.

Further explanation

Timecard is processed with no errors or warnings

All of the data you have entered to date for the pay period being viewed has been processed and no errors or warning were created. This does not mean that the pay period has been closed, only that all of the data you have entered has been processed successfully.

Timecard submitted for processing

Not all of the data you have entered has been processed yet. In this case, wait a few minutes and then click the Find button to refresh the status information.

One or more errors on this timecard

The Time & Attendance module has detected errors on your timecard that must be fixed before your timecard can be processed. Use the time sheet to view more information about these errors.

Note: Timecard status information is not displayed in the Payroll Summary if you are viewing a pay period that has already been closed.
