Web browsers increase their speed by storing or caching Internet files on your hard drive, so that each file does not have to be downloaded every time you access it. Caching can cause problems, however, if the Web pages you access change often or dramatically.

If your browser continues to use outdated cache files after a new release of the Time & Attendance module is launched, you may experience problems using the application, or you may continue to see outdated online Help files when newer information is available. For this reason, you should clear your cache files whenever a new version of the Time & Attendance module is released.

Note: Clearing your cache of temporary Internet files will not affect your program or data files.

The procedure for clearing your cache varies according to browser type and version. Please consult your browser's documentation for instructions.

Tips:
To view the most current version of a Web page without clearing your entire cache, click your browser's Refresh or Reload button. This forces the browser to retrieve the "live" page from the Internet rather than reading a cached file. Be sure to save any changes you have made before clicking this button, or your changes will be lost when the page is reloaded.

To improve your browser's speed, you may want to change the maximum size of the cache (the amount of memory allotted for saving temporary Internet files) or the method used for comparing the cached files to live files. In general, a larger cache size and a protocol that compares the cache to the live files infrequently (or never) will yield the fastest browser speed. See the documentation for your browser for more instructions on how to change these settings. A minimum disk cache size of 2 MB  (2000 KB) is recommended.
