  • What do the red and orange arrows mean next to some of the fields on the Employees pages?

    A red arrow (Required Field) next to a field indicates that you are required to enter data in that field. If two or more fields each have an orange arrow (optional_field.gif) next to them, you must enter information in at least one of the fields. Fields with no arrow are optional.

  • Why am I getting an error message that I have to enter a badge number for an employee?

    Even though the Badge field is not marked as a required field, you must enter a badge number if the employee is a clocking employee.

  • I set an employee's status to "Terminated." Why isn't the employee showing up in the list of terminated employees?

    The employee will appear in the list of terminated employees after end of period operations are run for the pay period that contains the employee’s specified termination date.

  • The base rate section shows multiple base rates for one of my employees. Which one is in effect?

    The base rate with the latest effective date that has already passed is the one that is currently in effect. The effective base rate expires when the effective date of the next scheduled base rate is reached. Only one base rate is in effect at a time.
