Creating Security Groups by Copying Existing Security Groups |
|
Copying a security group is a quick way to create a new security group based on the existing Security Group ID, description, employee assignments, and user assignments. The security group from which the copy is created remains unchanged in the list of groups.
To create a new security group by copying an existing group:
From the Time & Attendance menu, select Setup.
Note: If the Setup option is not visible, make sure that you have selected Practitioner in the Role Selector.
Under the Users heading on the Setup page, click the Security Groups link to view a list of existing security groups.
On the Security Groups page,
click the button on the right side
of the page for the security group that you want to copy. The Security
Group page opens with the Security Group field, Description field,
Users tab, and Employees tab filled in based on the group you copied.
Edit the Security Group field to create an ID for the new security group.
Edit the Description field to create a description for the new security group.
On the Users tab, make any necessary edits to the list of users who have access to the security group.
On the Employees tab, make any necessary edits to the list of employees who are members of the security group.
Click the Submit button. The new security group appears in the list of exiting security groups.
