The Report Scheduling Page |
|
To open the Report Scheduling page, select Time & Attendance Reports from the Reports menu. The Reports - Home page opens. Click the Report Scheduling tab. The Report Scheduling page opens and displays all completed scheduled reports and all existing report schedules.
Note: The Report Scheduling page is only available if your company has enabled the report scheduling feature.
The Report Scheduling page contains two sections: Completed Scheduled Reports and Report Schedules. When a scheduled report has been generated in the Time & Attendance module, you and any designated recipients receive an Inbox message. You can access the completed report under the Completed Scheduled Reports section. The Report Schedules sections displays all report schedules both active and inactive that you have created.
The columns and buttons under the Completed Scheduled Reports section are described in the table below.
Report column |
The name of the completed report; clicking a name opens a report. |
Created By column |
The name of the user who created the report schedule. |
Format column |
The format in which the report was created. Reports can be created in PDF or CSV (comma-separated value) format. |
Status column |
The current status of the report. The status can be Completed Successfully or Error (error description), where error description is the actual error in the report. If a report has an error, it is not linked (underlined with blue text) to the report. Instead it is displayed in plain type. If needed, you can correct the error and re-generate the report. |
Date Requested / Completed column |
The date and time when the report was scheduled to begin generating and the date and time when the report was actually completed. |
Available Through column |
The date through which the report will be available. Reports are available for seven days after they have been generated. A completed report is available until the end of the day (in your time zone) listed in this column. After this time, the report is deleted from the list. |
Delete button |
Deletes a report from the list of completed reports. To delete a report, select the check box in the far left column for each report that you want to remove and then click the Delete button. In the confirmation dialog box, click the OK button. |
The columns and buttons under the Report Schedules section are described in the table below.
Schedule Name column |
The name of the report schedule. |
Status column |
The current status of the report schedule. The status can be Active or Inactive. The status is automatically set to Active when you create a schedule. You can select the Inactive status if you temporarily do not need a schedule to generate reports. If the status has been changed to Inactive, the schedule does not generate any reports. The Time & Attendance module also changes a schedule's status to Inactive if the schedule has generated a report three times without a recipient viewing the report. In this situation, you can always re-activate the schedule, if needed. |
Report column |
The name of the report (from your My Reports list) that is generated by a schedule. |
Next Scheduled Run Time column |
The next date and time when a report is scheduled to be generated. All times reflect your default Time & Attendance module time zone. |
Add New button |
Opens the Edit Report Schedule page, where you can create a new report schedule. For more information, see Creating Report Schedules. |
Activate button |
Activates an inactive report schedule. To activate a report schedule, select the check box in the far left column for each schedule you want to re-activate and then click the Activate button. |
Inactivate button |
Inactivates an active report schedule. An inactive report schedule is not deleted. It simply does not generate any reports. To inactivate a report schedule, select the check box in the far left column for each schedule that you want to inactivate and then click the Inactivate button. |
Delete button |
