If circumstances arise that will cause you to be absent from work, you can use ezLaborManager to create an attendance notification that reports your unplanned absence and the reason for it.

To report an unplanned absence:

  1. Click the My Information tab.

  2. On the My Home page, click the Absence icon.

  3. In the Reason field on the on the Report Absence form, click the Down Arrow and select the appropriate reason for your absence.

Tip: The available absence reasons that appear in this list vary by company.

  4. Select either Today or Tomorrow to indicate which day you will be absent.

Tip: The absence notification feature only allows you to report that you will be absent today or tomorrow. If you know more than one day in advance that you will be absent, you should notify your supervisor personally and arrange to have your schedule adjusted for the planned absence.

  5. In the Comments field, enter any further information you want to provide to your supervisor, such as the reason for your unplanned absence.

  6. Click Submit to complete and save your absence notification.

The My Home page will reappear and display a success message and a confirmation number for your attendance notification in the Today's Activities section. The next time your supervisor logs in to ezLaborManager your notification will appear on their Manager Home page. You may also see a message in the Today's Activities section that indicates that an e-mail was sent to your supervisor and any other individuals who have been designated to receive such notifications.

Note: Even if the Today's Activities messages indicate that no e-mail was sent (because no recipient has been specified by your system administrator), your notification will appear on your Supervisor's Manager Home page in ezLaborManager.

Tip: You can view and search your attendance notification history by clicking the My Attendance link or by clicking the My Attendance Notifications link on the My Home page. See Viewing Your Attendance Notifications for more information.
