Note: Attendance exception tracking is an optional feature. If your company does not use attendance tracking, the information on this page will not apply to you.

Some companies elect to monitor attendance patterns by tracking certain attendance events. If your company has enabled ezLaborManager's attendance tracking feature, specific types of attendance events (for example, sick time, late arrivals, early departures, or absences) will be recorded as attendance exceptions. Some companies also assign infraction levels (such as warnings, probation, etc.) when certain attendance exception thresholds are reached. You can view information about your attendance exceptions and infraction levels from the My Attendance page.

• Viewing Your Attendance Exceptions and Infraction Level

  1. Click the My Information tab.

  2. Click the My Attendance link.

  3. In the left pane, click Attendance Exceptions.

     Tip: If the message "You are currently not assigned to an Attendance Program." appears, your company is not tracking your attendance, so no attendance exception information will be available.

  A summary of your recent attendance exceptions by tracking code will be displayed. (The tracking codes are unique to your company and are defined by your system administrator.) If your company assigns points to attendance exceptions, the Points column will indicate your point total for each tracking code and your current total point balance. You will only see attendance points if your company has chosen to display them in ezLaborManager. The Number of Records column indicates the number of transactions for each tracking code.

  Note: Your company may enforce an attendance policy that assigns infraction levels when certain attendance patterns or point totals are recorded. If your company has an infraction procedure, your current infraction level (even if it is "None") will be displayed in the upper right corner of the Attendance Exceptions page.

When you first access the Attendance Exceptions page, all of your attendance exceptions for a default period (determined by your system administrator) will be displayed. You can filter the attendance exceptions list to show only certain types of attendance instructions or to show information for a different time period.

• Filtering Your Attendance Exception History by Type

  • To view only exceptions with a specific tracking code, click in the Tracking Code field and select the appropriate tracking code.

  • To view all attendance exceptions, click in the Tracking Code field and select All.

  Note: The attendance exception list will update as soon as you select a category from the drop-down menu. You do not have to click Find, even if you have also changed the date range. If you have not yet changed the date range and want to, you will have to enter the new dates and then click Find to refresh the page again.

• Filtering Your Attendance Exception History by Time

  • To filter the attendance exception list using a predefined time period, click in the Specify Date Range field and select All, Current Pay Period, Next Pay Period, or Previous Pay Period. The attendance exception list will refresh immediately to show information for the newly selected period.

  • To view information about a specific range of recent attendance exceptions leading up to the current day:

  • 1. Click in the Specify Date Range field and select Last x Selection of.

    2. In the next field, click and select the units (Days, Weeks, or Months) for the range you will define.

    3. In the next field, enter the number of days, weeks, or months you want the attendance exception history to go back.

    4. Click Find. The Attendance Exceptions page will refresh to display data only for the specified time period.

  • To view information for a time period with a specific starting and ending date:

  • 1. Click in the Specify Date Range field and select User Defined Date Range.

    2. In the Specify Date Range text boxes, enter the starting and ending date of the time period for which you want to view your notification history, or use the calendar lookup buttons to select the starting and ending date.

    3. Click Find. The Attendance Exceptions page will refresh to display data only for the specified time period.

The Attendance Exceptions page displays summary information about your attendance exceptions by tracking code. From this page, you can open the Attendance Exceptions Detail Page to see specific information about individual attendance exceptions.

• Viewing Detailed Information about Attendance Exceptions

  • To view more details about each of the transactions in a tracking category, click anywhere in the row for that tracking code.

  • To view detailed information about all of the transactions displayed on the attendance exceptions list, click anywhere in the Total row.
