Viewing Your Reported Time
You can use the system administrator timecard to view the transactions you have recorded with the clocking icons.
To view your reported time using the timecard:
Click the My Information tab.
On the My Home page, click the My Timecard icon. Your timecard data will be displayed for the time period indicated in the Pay Date Range fields.
To change the timecard view to display data for a different time period, do one of the following:
Click and select one of the available choices (such as Today or Last Month). The timecard will refresh as soon as you make your selection.
Click , select User-Defined Date Range, enter a starting and ending date (or use the buttons to select them), and then click Find to update the timecard with information for the newly specified date range.
For a description of the fields and information displayed on the timecard, see Reading Your Time Entries.
Notes:
For some clocking employees, the timecard
is read-only. If the Save buttons
are grayed out, your timecard
is read-only and you can report your time only by using the clocking icons.
If you make an error using the clocking icons, you will need to ask your
supervisor to edit your
timecard
information.
If the Save buttons are not grayed
out and you can click in the columns of the timecard
and enter or change text, your timecard
is not read-only. This means that you can record your time either by using
the clocking icons or by entering data directly into the timecard. You can
use the timecard
to record
your time, charge hours
to different labor categories, report
non-worked time such as vacation, or edit
your time entries.
If you are allowed to enter and edit entries directly on your timecard, keep in
mind that if you later need to come back and edit an entry, your company
may be set up so that once your supervisor
has approved an entry, the entry is locked and you cannot make any further
changes to it. If your company is configured this way, you can only edit
entries on your timecard
that have not yet been approved by your supervisor.
If one or more of your entries have been locked for this reason,
the following message is displayed at the top of the Timecard
page: "Rows may be disabled because supervisor
approval has occurred."
If your company is not configured this way, you can continue to edit entries
on your timecard
after supervisor approval
has occurred. If you edit entries that have been approved by you or your
supervisor, the approvals
will be removed and you and/or your supervisor
will have to approve your timecard
again.
Regardless of how your company is configured for editing timecard entries,
you can only edit entries in the current or next pay period.
If you have questions about editing your timecard,
contact your supervisor.
