There are several company-wide Time & Attendance module settings that you can manage as a practitioner. To set these preferences:

  1. From the Time & Attendance menu, select Setup.

Note: If the Setup option is not visible, make sure that you have selected Practitioner in the Role Selector.

  2. Under the click the Client Administration Preferences link. The Client Administration Preferences page opens.

  3. In the Company Name field, enter the company name that you want to appear in reports.

Note: The name you enter appears on all reports. This field defaults to your company login name, but you may want to enter the full legal name of your company in this field. Unlike your company login name, the company name you enter here can contain spaces and punctuation.

  4. If you want to enable the scheduling of reports, select the Allow Report Scheduling check box under the Report Scheduling section. By default, this box is not checked.

  5. If you enable report scheduling and you want to allow a schedule creator to designate other users (in addition to himself or herself) as recipients of a report, select the Allow selection of multiple recipients on a report schedule check box. If this box is not checked, only the creator of a scheduled report can access a completed report. By default, this box is not checked.

    Notes:
The following rules apply if you allow schedule creators to designate other users as report recipients:

    - Only Time & Attendance module users can be designated as recipients.

    - Schedule creators can only designate recipients who have the same or higher level of security access as they do.

  6. In the Default Print Option section, select whether you want reports to print using Landscape format, or Best Fit. If you select Best Fit, the Time & Attendance module determines if the report fits the page better using Portrait or Landscape orientation.

  7. In the Calendar Screens Start Day of Week section, select from the drop-down menu the day of the week on which you want calendars and schedules to start when they are displayed.

Note: This setting affects any page or report that displays a weekly calendar or weekly date range option except for the Recurring Schedule page, which always begins on Sunday.

  8. In the Seniority Date section, select the Enable Seniority Date check box and select an Employee Date Field to allow schedules to be assigned to employees based on their seniority with the company.

  9. Note: To create a new Employee Date Field for seniority dates, click Configuration > Global Settings > Employee Date Fields. Click Add New to create the field, then select that field from the Employee Date Field drop-down menu on the Client Administration Preferences page.

  10. In the Employee Approval section, select the Allow employees to approve timecards check box to give employees the ability to approve their own timecards.

Note: Employee timecard approval gives employees the opportunity to approve their timecards, but a missing employee timecard approval will not create an exception severe enough to stop payroll processing.

  11. If you have enabled employee timecard approval, enter or edit the Confirmation Message text that employees see before they approve a timecard. You can enter versions of the message for each language supported by your company. The text you enter prompts users to confirm that they want to approve the timecard.

  12. In the Suggestions E-mail Address section, enter the e-mail address or addresses of individuals within your company to whom suggestions created using the SUGGESTIONS link should be sent.

    Notes:
You can enter up to three addresses. Place a comma between each address.

If no addresses are entered here, any suggestions that are submitted will be sent directly to ADP. If addresses are specified here, ADP will not automatically receive the suggestions. Instead, the people whose addresses are specified will receive the suggestions and will be responsible for forwarding them to ADP if necessary or appropriate.

  13. In the Rounded Values section, optionally select the Display rounded in/out time pair values in Time Pair Details Window within Timecard Manager check box if you want rounded punch values to appear on the Time Pair Details window (along with the actual and scheduled in and out times).

  14. Click the Submit button.
