Note: These instructions are intended for Practitioners who do not have access to the Manager role . If you have manager Manager user rights, we recommend that you perform this task while using the Manager role .

If you have assigned an employee to a recurring schedule but have also created individual schedules (schedule deviations) that overwrite the employee's template-based recurring schedule for specific days, you can easily remove these deviations if you want to restore the exact recurring schedule.

To remove schedule deviations and restore a recurring schedule template:

  1. From the Time & Attendance menu, select Timecards.

Note: If the Timecards option is not visible, make sure that you have selected Practitioner in the Role Selector.

  2. If the Multiple Employee Timecard Manager opens, click the Single Employee View link near the upper right corner of the page to view the Timecard Manager for one employee. If the single employee Timecard Manager opens, skip this step.

  3. On the Timecard Manager, click the Select button (next to the Find button). The Employee ID Lookup window opens. Select the employee whose recurring schedule assignments you want to restore. The Timecard Manager refreshes and displays timecard information for the selected employee.

  4. Click the Schedule link above the table of timecard data. The Monthly Schedule page opens and displays in a calendar view the employee's schedule for the four-week period that begins with the week that was being viewed in the Timecard Manager.

  5. Use the Previous and Next buttons or the drop-down date menu to adjust the schedule view until the date or range of dates for which you want to remove schedule deviations is visible.

  6. In the left-most column of the Monthly Schedule page, click the Remove Deviations button for the week that contains the date (or part of the range of dates) for which you want to remove deviations. The Remove Schedule Deviations page opens.

  7. In the Start Date and End Date fields, use the Calendar Lookup buttons to select the exact date or range of dates for which you want to remove all schedule deviations and revert to the employee's assigned recurring schedule.

    Tips:
The Start Date and End Date fields default to the first and last day of the week for which you clicked the Remove Deviations button.

The date range defined by the Start Date and End Date values is inclusive. This means that any deviations for the start and end dates you enter, as well as the intervening dates, will be removed.

  8. Click the Submit button. To view the employee's updated schedule, click the Monthly Schedule link at the bottom of the page.

Note: If an employee has not been assigned a recurring schedule, but has been assigned a series of individualized schedules, the employee's entire calendar is made up of "deviations." If you use the Remove Deviations button, all of the individualized schedules for the time period you specify will be removed.
