Reactivating Terminated Employees |
|
As a practitioner, you can reactivate terminated employees who belong to security groups to which you have access.
Note: If the pay period containing a terminated employee’s scheduled termination date has not yet been closed, the employee has not yet actually been terminated. In this case, you do not (and cannot) reactivate the employee. Instead, you can cancel the termination by changing the employee’s status.
To reactivate a terminated employee:
From the Time & Attendance menu, select Maintenance.
Note: If the Maintenance option is not visible, make sure that you have selected Practitioner in the Role Selector.
Under the Employee heading on the Maintenance page, click the Terminated Employee Positions (or Terminated Employees) link.
Click the button (next to the Find button). The Employee ID Lookup window opens. Select the employee you want to reactivate.
At the bottom of the Terminated Employee Positions page, click the Reactivate button. The page is refreshed with the Main menu item selected.
Edit any fields under the Main section that need to be updated for the employee.
Click the Submit button. The page is refreshed and the employee's status is reset to active.
Note: After you reactivate an employee, the menu items on the left side of the Terminated Employee Positions page become active and you can use them to edit or update the reactivated employee's data. However, when you leave the Terminated Employee Positions page and go to another part of the application, you cannot come back to the page to continue editing the reactivated employee's information. Instead, you must edit the data in the Employee Editor.
Click each of the menu items on the left side of the page and review each field to ensure that it accurately reflects the reactivated employee's information. If you make changes on a menu item, you must click the Submit button before you can proceed to another menu item. These menu items are only available on the Terminated Employee Positions page after you have reactivated an employee. For more information about each menu item, click the following links:
Note: To see the reactivated employee in the list of active employees, click the Maintenance subtab at the top of the Terminated Employee Positions page. Under the Employee heading, click the Employee Positions (or Employees) link. On the Employees page, click the button (next to the Find button). All active employees, including the reactivated employee, are listed on the Employee ID Lookup page.
